A FOUR-year-old girl who accidentally hanged herself while copying her favourite TV character was yesterday buried in a pink princess dress. Paige Brown’s coffin, decorated with a painting of a princess in a fairy-tale landscape, was taken to church in a white hearse drawn by two white horses.

Little Paige died on New Year’s Day after becoming entangled in a hair-band hanging from a hammock where she kept her toys. She was found by her father, Phil, 33, in her bedroom in Hawkinge, Kent.
Paige’s family held the funeral with a pink theme, because it was her favourite colour. Many of the 300 mourners, including her parents, dyed their hair pink, while St Luke’s church in Hawkinge was decorated in rose.
Paige’s parents told them she was the “most lovely, caring little girl in the world”.
